Pastor Carmen Acosta is a native of Connecticut and serves as Associate Pastor of Covenant Life Ministries (CLM), a multicultural, non-denominational, Word of Faith church in Stratford, CT where she serves the Lord by boldly proclaiming the truth of His Word in a way that encourages practical personal application and ignites a desire to know Him more personally.
A gifted and vibrant speaker, Pastor Carmen has a passion to help women obtain the knowledge and skills to build a healthy and satisfying lifelong marriage. Through her empowering testimony of victory over her own marital adversities including three separations and a divorce from Pastor David Acosta Sr., her husband of 43 years, Pastor Carmen encourages women to replace their fears with faith and discover the freedom of abundant life in their own marriages through a loving relationship with their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
When breast cancer tried to steal the song in her heart Pastor Carmen turned her eyes to Jehovah Rapha, the Lord our Healer. Though she received report after report on the severity of the cancer invading her body she refused to believe the enemy’s lies and instead determined to believe God’s promises. Standing on God’s Word day and night she won the battle and was divinely healed of cancer. Because of her own victory and healing Pastor Carmen is anointed to minister to women diagnosed with cancer.
In 2007 the Lord gave Pastor Carmen a vision for a women’s ministry where women of all nationalities, ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds would experience healing, restoration and prosperity in every area of their lives. The Lord revealed to her that these meetings would transcend all denominational barriers. The Lord also instructed Pastor Carmen to fully trust Him with the finances and make the meetings free of charge. In January 2008, Ladies of Virtue (LOV) was launched and hosted its first annual women’s conference. It was an impacting and life-changing event for all the women who attended. Every year since then women from throughout the Northeast corridor come to the conference to encounter the Living God who pursues and captures their hearts.
Pastor Carmen also has a burden and a heart of compassion for the lost and has been called by God to the nations alongside her husband, to teach and preach the message of faith with authority and revelation, and without compromise.
